It was all celebrations for Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns remains the champions of the Absa premiership for the 3rd time consecutively!
Another celebration for the Brazilian boys. Mamelodi Sundowns was second placed with 56 points to Kaizer chiefs who were log leaders with 21 goal difference.
The final matches took place simultaneously, Kaizer Chiefs played a 1-1 draw with Baroka FC who were subsequently saved from the relegation zone. A first goal from Khama Billiat gave the Amakhosi side hope of walking with the tittle to Naturena, until Baroka FC equalized narrowing their chances.
Meanwhile Mamelodi Sundowns missed out on an opportunity to lead against Black Leopards on a missed penalty. Man of the match Lebohang Maboe scored a hatric to secure the championship with a 3-0 win over Leopards who were exed to relegation.
Mamelodi Sundowns is currently sitting on another chance to lift a trophy again as they will take on Bloemfontein Celtics for the Nedbank Cup competition on the 8th of September 2020.
