Two children were found dead on the street of Orange farm South of Johannesburg.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a passerby saw the body of a child lying on the street, and alerted the SAPS, another body of a child was found 100m from the previous one. The boy is aged 6 and the girl is 8 years old.
They were last seen around 7 PM in the evening walking from a nearby salon. The mother of the 6 year old boy, reported a missing child on Saturday 2 AM in the morning.
The SAPS Provincial investigation Unit is prioritizing the murder case and waiting for Post-mortem results to determine the cause of death, and possible sexual assaults.
The SAPS spokesperson brigadier Mathapelo Peter’s said: “Police are calling on parents to prioritise the safety of their children at all times, and to always be aware of their children’s whereabouts. Children walking in the streets at night must be prohibited, otherwise they must be accompanied [by an adult],”
