SA Twitter is storming up with tweets, retweets, and comments after the local rapper, Emtee announced his new record label; Emtee Records.
Posting on the platform this morning, the rapper, currently known as “Big CEO” urged his tweeps to follow his new record label.
Frankly, this was not surprising to many, after he shared on Twitter last month that he is leaving Ambitious Entertainment.

It seems like independency is the new and safe move for South African Hip Hop artists. That’s because a majority of them are moving solo. Here are a few names;
- Ricky Rick left Motif and Mabala Noise
- Fifi Cooper left Ambitious
- Kid X left Cashtime
- Areece left Ambitious
Perhaps, the glitz and glamour in the media is just a myth. Considering the fact that many of these artists end up paving their own green pastures.
Anyway, let’s just embrace their music and do away with conspiracy theories.
