White house demonstrators labelled as “Thugs” by US president.
US president Donald Trump labelled the protesters outside the White house during his Election Acceptance speech as “Thugs”. The US has been engulfed with protests across different cities, in the wake of a shooting of another black man by a white policeman in Wisconsin on Sunday (23 August 2020). Anti-trump protesters demonstrated outside the White house. On a Twitter post Donald Trump called on the Mayor of Portland,Ted Wheeler to control the city claiming that it causes danger to innocent people.
More black people shot at the hands of White policemen in the US.
Jacob Blake was shot several times at the back by a white policeman when he was trying to get in his car. Jacob Blake was handcuffed to hospital. His Lawyer said it will be a “miracle” if he would be able to ever walk again.It is alleged Mr Blake was unarmed when he was brutally shot several times. Police are said to have been responding to Domestic violence,however not much has been brought to light on what led to the shooting. A video of the incident circulated on social media, the #BlacklivesMatter movement immediately spiked on social media as the number of police brutality towards black people continues. Earlier this year George Floyd an African-American man was killed by a white policeman in Minneapolis who knelt on his neck for approximately 9 Minutes for allegedly using counterfeit money to purchase goods.

Demonstrators have been marching in the city of Kenosha against Police brutality and racial injustices. A night curfew was imposed but ignored by demonstrators which led to violent riots. Three (3) people were shot, Two of those were killed and only 1 survived. A teenager was arrested for the shooting of the 3 demonstrators. The teenager claimed it was “his job” to protect the city of kenosha, he is facing charges of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide and possession of a dangerous weapon under the legal age of 18, His social media posts indicated that he was a Donald Trump’s follower.
