It seems like the killing of students is becoming the in-thing in Cape Town, following another murder of UCT’s Cebo Mhleli Mbatha from KwaZulu-Natal.
The 19-year-old, who was famously known as “Cheesy” was stabbed in the chest on Sunday night at the Clifton Beach in Cape Town during an alleged robbery.
Mbatha was with his other three friends when the tragedy happened. Two of them managed to escape unharmed while the other one was stabbed in the leg.
“This was very shocking to many, for the fact that he was on one the attendees at Uyinene’ funeral in the Eastern Cape not knowing that he would be next”, a friend responded.
First year student at UCT and former pupil of Dundee High School-Cebo Mhleli Mbatha (Cheesy)(18) was stabbed to death on Clifton Beach 3rd in Cape town on Saturday night.
